Educating Children.
Our programs are both water and land-based. We strive to create young stewards of the rivers here in the Amazon basin. We also work to help build life skills that will help these young people be successful.
Protecting Rivers.
The rivers of the amazon basin are our life blood. We drink the water, fish for food, swim in the water and play along the river banks. Our goal is to help the young people of our community understand the importance of caring for our rivers because the rivers have no voice.
Conserving Culture.
Many of our participants come from Kichwa communities, where many learn Kichwa – or ‘Runa Shimi’ (“the language of the people”), often before learning Spanish. We want this generation – and those that follow, to be proud of their culture, help keep it strong and help it thrive for generations to come.
